Animal cell and plant cell electron micrographs

source

Cell surface membrane - bilayer of phospholipids with proteins

Chloroplasts - stroma with granum surrounded by two membranes

Golgi body - a pile of flat sac with vesicles around the edges

Lysosomes - single membrane which is fluid filled with enzymes

Midocondrion (sing) - fluid filled matrix which is surrounded by two membranes

Nuclear envelope - structure that surrounds nucleus with pores

Nucleus - large membrane bound organelle which contains genetic information

Ribosome - made of protein and RNA which is found in cytoplasm or around RER

Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum (RER) - flat sacs of membranes that are covered with ribosomes

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum - flat sacs of membrane that are not covered in ribosomes
